About Us

The Delirium Care Network is a passion project born out of a desire to provide a meaningful contribution to the community’s efforts to advocate for the prevention, detection and treatment of delirium.

Delirium, a syndrome associated with detrimental outcomes for health, is a serious concern especially in our most medically vulnerable populations. However, despite its prevalence and the gravity of its consequences, delirium still goes under-recognized and under-appreciated in the medical community.

As a condition that in many cases may be prevented or at least improved with simple interventions by family and health care professionals, the value of spreading awareness is immeasurable. In view of this, Delirium Care Network was started, at first, as a Twitter feed to curate relevant and up to date information on delirium. Through Twitter, we share information and practices useful for both health care professional and also patients and their families. The Delirium Care Network website was created to build on this momentum and use additional avenues to disseminate awareness, news and educational resources.

Regards,

The Delirium Care Team
